Quality Child Care and Education for Working Families
First Friends is a non-profit, private corporation serving federal employees as well as the public at large. We strive to maintain high child development standards while maintaining low ratios and qualified staff.
We provide a sense of security and comfort to our parents, as we understand that leaving your children with a child care provider can be a stressful experience.
Our mission is to provide a home away from home atmosphere that is free from corporate influence and structure.
Our center has an open-door policy. Parents are welcome to drop in to visit or check on their child throughout the day at any time without making previous arrangements. We encourage parents to visit often and get involved in their child's classroom. Ex. helping in the classroom, attending parties or special events, helping with field trips or you may come and share a meal/snack with your child at any time.
First Friends is licensed by the Utah Department of Health - Office of Child Care. We follow and exceed the standards set by that office.
Our Mission
Our mission is to assist working families in meeting the developing social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs for their children by providing the highest quality child care in a safe and loving environment.
Staff-Parent Interaction
Young children are integrally connected to their families. Our program cannot adequately meet the needs of the children unless we also recognize the importance of the child's family and develop strategies to work effectively with families. All communication between the center and the families is based on the concept that parents are and should be the principal influence in the children's lives.
